It's been quite a while since I've been able to squeak something out for FableVision's biweekly WTD challenge. This time, the random word that popped up was "roose" and as far as we could tell, besides being the short name of a suburb in England...it means "praise!" Just for fun, here's the sketch I started with. I call it a form of brainstorming because my lines fly all over the place when I'm trying to come up with an idea!
This is so quietly beautiful in many little ways...the hand on the shoulder, her sad little eyebrows...love it.
